Christine Barford

School Improvement Leader

Christine builds the capacity of school leaders and leads school improvement initiatives at TenSquare partner schools. She spent 10 years as a teacher and school leader with KIPP Schools. Christine taught and served as principal at KIPP Gaston College Preparatory in rural North Carolina before moving to Massachusetts to found and lead KIPP Academy Boston Middle School. Christine worked across K-12 with KIPP Massachusetts’ five schools as Director of Teaching and Learning, supporting school leaders on curriculum, coaching, use of data and leadership development. Christine holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Gettysburg College and a Master of Arts in Education Administration and Supervision from National Louis University.
